Attention DMVA/City Council
It has come to our attention again from local business owners on Camino Del Mar that the city plans on redoing the sidewalks in March. We believe that we wrote to you concerning this issue before, however, we feel that it is important for us to reiterate where we stand. As business owners and tax payers, we are completely against this, but especially in March when our busiest season begins. Even...

Silver and Gold
Lady is looking at a display of bracelets.
Lady - How much is this bracelet? (holding one up)
Staff - It's 20 dollars.
Lady - Is it gold?
Staff - It's 20 dollars.
Lady puts it back and takes another bracelet.
Lady - How much is this bracelet?
Staff - It's 20 dollars.
Lady - Is it silver?
Staff - It's 20 dollars.
Lady puts it back and picks up another one.
Staff - They are all 20 dollars on that rack.
Lady - My store had better bracelets than this and I sold them for much less.
Staff - Oh, that's good.
Lady finally picks a bracelet and brings it to the register.
Staff - So, where is your store located?
Lady - It closed.

Whales
Lady foaming at the mouth runs into the store.
Lady - Do you have books on whales?
Staff - Oh yes, of course, lots of them. (walks over to the shelf and starts pulling out books one after the other - humpbacks, right, killer, etc...)
Lady - no, No, NO!
Staff - Oh, okay, well there are more choices on the bottom shelf (kneels on the floor on hands and knees to get to them)
Lady - Whales! I mean Wales the country!
Staff - Oh, oh, (quickly gets up leaving all the books in a heaping pile on the floor and goes over to the travel section) Um, um, (looking) no.
Lady - I drove 45 minutes because someone on the phone told me this bookstore had books on Wales!
Staff - Yes, we do. I thought you meant the mammals. Whale watching is very popular and -
Lady storms out.

Can't please everyone...
Old Lady - Do you sell greeting cards?
Staff - Yes, there is six racks full of them right behind you.
Old Lady - Do you have one for my nephew's cousin's aunt's birthday?
Staff - I don't think they get that specific.
Old Lady - She likes snakes. Do you have one with snakes on it?
Staff - I don't think so. How about a golden retriever?
Old Lady walks out mumbling under her breath.
Staff - Thank you. Have a nice day.
